Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM6442,
Hi,
When can we expect the PRU-ICSSG driver support (AM6442, AM6421) in Linux for HSR, PRP, and PTP? In PRU document, it is mentioned as the support is planned in the future for AM64xx devices.
Thank you

Hello Chris,
Can you point me to the PRU document you saw the information in?
Are you looking for HSR/PRP with PRU offload, or HSR/PRP implemented on the Linux core?
HSR/PRP implemented on the Linux core is supported now through the CPSW, and I would also expect it to work with the PRU Ethernet ports.
SDK docs are here: https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/AM64X/08_02_00_17/exports/docs/linux/Foundational_Components/Kernel/Kernel_Drivers/Network/HSR_PRP.html
Additional hints for running the example from the SDK docs are here: https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1110020/am6442-linux-hsr-prp-issue/4117650#4117650

Thanks Nick.
I was asking about PRU-ICSS based HSR/PRP offloading. I believe there would be a dedicated firmware for PRU-ICSS to offload the HSR/PRP from the application core.
The PRU based HSR and PRP mentioned in the following document
' Industrial Communication Protocols Supported on
Sitara Processors and MCUs'
The relevant section shows below
Is there any performance data available in non offloaded version?
