Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PROFIBUS
Hello everyone,
After being busy with other things for a long while, this week I have been looking at the Sitara AM64x family and I've noticed the datasheet refers to Profibus on its very first page:
Each PRU_ICSSG contains: ... • 16550-compatible UART with a dedicated 192-MHz clock to support 12-Mbps PROFIBUS
Looking through the different SDKs I think there are no references to Profibus. Can somebody please comment on the following:
-Is there or will there be at any point support for Profibus on this processor family?
-If so: would that be on Linux, Free-RTOS or NORTOS?, would it be provided by TI or by a third party? and would there be any fees/licenses?
