  • Martin,

The license files end in a .lic extension.  CCS looks for them in \ccsv4\DebugServer\License

The contents of the file look something like what I have below.  If you go to www.ti.com/myregisteredsoftware you can rehost your license and have it sent to you again.  I will give it a try myself as well tomorrow to make sure that if I register for the "Free Limited Use" license that you use with the 5505 stick that it sends me a proper file.

  • Martin,

I just went through the whole process.  I installed CCS on a clean machine.  Clicked on the button to "Use Free Limited License".  Filled out the form.  I was then emailed a license.  I saved the license file to my computer and in the license dialog in CCS browsed to it.  Clicked Ok and CCS was using the license.

From your original post I can see that you received an email with the license attached.  Is it not working.  You can just save that license file into \ccs4\debugserver\license as that is where CCS copies the file when you specify it in the license dialog.

    John

  • Tanks for the help. The problem I had is solved.
