Hi Team,

About the EMA_CLK stated in Figure 20-2 and Table 20-2 of user guide below

1) Can I connect synchronous memory to OMAP-L138 EMIFA?

- I plan to implement synchronous memory in FPGA. In this case, EMA_CLK is connected to both FPGA clock input pin and SDRAM clock pin.

2) Can I use SDRAM simultaneously with synchronous memory in Q1 ?

- I consider EMA_CLK is restricted by SDRAM requirements.

You can only use EMIFA with a SDRAM and async memory simultaneously (see section 20.1 of the TRM).

Alternatively, you could use the DDR2 interface for DDR2 memories, and then use EMIFA for your synchronous FPGA interface.

The uPP interface (Chapter 33 in the TRM) could also be used to interface to the FPGA
