I want to develop audio on netra device, not sure if there are any document or drivers regarding ALSA for 5158,

or documents for this modification. And I also want to playback audio via on-chip HDMI, is the HDMI alsa driver ready??

Currently we don't have drivers for TVP5158 and on-chip HDMI audio. If you are looking for adding support for this, please refer to the ALSA wiki http://alsa.opensrc.org/Main_Page and Documentation/sound/* in the kernel for more information.

hi,

so with DM8168 EVM is it possible at now to handle any audio channel in some way?

How many audio channels can I handle?

Are these channles available using alsa drivers as /dev/XXX file descriptors?

I am not sure i understand your question... audio using AIC3106 codec on the EVM is supported. Please refer to the release notes http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/DM81xx_C6A81xx_AM38xx_Linux_Releases for more detail.
