PROCESSOR-SDK-AM62X: AM62x OSPI flash - SDK incomplete?

Hi there,

I started to collect information about how to communicate with an attached OSPI flash for the AM62x.

Could it be that the SDK/API ist still in development and incomplete? I have the mcu_plus_sdk_am62x_08_03_00_07

I could not find any information about flash communication on the documentation pages. But in sources I've found a header flash.h...with functions I would have expected, but where some not existing headers might be included. And e.g. there is a struct with one uint32_t with comment: "reserved for future use".

Looking to an other device, the AM64x, it seems I would find anything I need, including an example how to communicate with flash...

So, can I expect to see an updated version with flash functionalities in the near future?

    Dear Jochen,

    Thanks for your query. 

    we have plans to support OSPI NOR  in 08.04 Release . this release is expected to be available around 15th September 2022.

    let us know if you have specific query for OSPI, we might be able to help on pointed queries.

    it would be also useful to understand your requirements in a bit more detail to support you better.
