Hi,

I'm using eCAP module to capture pwm input which programmed with CSL functions.

I can get correct freq and duty cycle at first, but it just stop capturing new pwm input in next time.

In my experiment, it seems that re-arm function doesn't work correctly.

Here is my inital setting:

Do you have any suggestion for us to fix the problem?

Are you referring to any example in SDK? If yes, can you please share which example are you referring to?

Hi Parth,

I'm referring to the example of AM2632 and C2000. But none of those using CSL function.

Is there any eCAP example code for TDA4?

Please look into the ICU module in the MCAL/MCUSW offering on the TDA4VM.

We are working towards providing you a more detailed instruction.

Hi Jay,

You can use the example at <SDK_INSTALL_PATH>\mcusw\mcal_drv\mcal\examples\Icu\icu_app

To build the example run the following commands from mcusw/build:

make BOARD=j721e_evm icu_app

You can load and run example using CCS.

To run the example, you have to connect EPWM1 output to ECAP1 input. On EVM these should be Pin 2 on J22 on GESI Expansion Board to TP120 on SOM board.

You can also refer to the logs attached icu_app

Hi,

Thanks for the notice. I will refer the sample in mcu_sw.

By the way, I need to map the eCAP ISR source from main domian to mcu domain.

According to the mcan_evm_loopback_app_main_k3.c in mcan example:

What should I set in the parameters to register the ISR of eCAP?

Hi Jay,

You can refer to the IcuApp_IntrConfig API in <SDK_INSTALL_PATH>\mcusw\mcal_drv\mcal\examples\Icu\icu_app\soc\j721e\mcu1_0\IcuApp_Startup.c . This should give you all the relevant parameters to route ecap interrupts from main to mcu domain rather than mcan example.
