Hi Everyone.

We are trying to communicate AM6442 and AM243 via PCI Express (One is root complex and the other one is end point) Our purpose is just as simple as send and receive buffer.

According to Processor SDK AM64X Software Developer’s Guide, we need a PE-FLEX1-G2-MMCX cable but we cannot order it in our country.

We found a different cable which is 3M's product (www.digikey.com/.../8KJ2-0743-0250/5128345)

So, should we remove any power related pins from that cable to not burn endpoint AM6442 board?

Hello,

As we have not tested this particular cable, it's not possible to assert that it will work for the topology you want to test. It does seem to be analogous, but you would need to determine suitability for purpose. I do agree that at a minimum the power pins should be isolated and also you need isolate the CLK +/- and PERST signals as with the ADEX cable.

There isn't enough information about PCI in AM64X SDK.

But I see J721e has.
