TDA4VM: How to bring up an RGB-Ir sensor in TDA4?

Hi TI experts,

Recently we have a project that requires to bring up an RGB-Ir sensor (e.g. OVX5B sensor) on TDA4 board.

But currently we have only successfully brought up RGGB and RCCB sensor on TDA4.

Does TDA4 supports to biring up RGB-Ir sensor? Do you have any successful examples and experiences?

In China mainland, is there any experts who can support our work to bring up RGB-Ir sensor?

TDA4 VPAC/VISS supports only 2x2 raw color patterns such as Bayer and RCCB.

I suppose your OVX5B is in RGB-IR 4x4 color pattern.

Yes, OVX5B is in 4x4 color pattern. Is there any example and experience on the bringing up of such sensors?

TDA4 does not support RGBIR 4x4 color format.

That means if I want to bring up an RGB-IR sensor, I have to do some pre-processing to change the 4*4 pattern to 2*2 pattern, right?

Can TDA4 board run the pre-processing code? And where should I add the pre-processing codes?

Yes, you will have to do "IR interpolation + IR subtraction + Bayer 2x2 conversion" in DSP on your own, which is impractical for real applications with this 5MP @ 60fps sensor.
