Part Number: TDA4VM
Hello,
We absolutely live this silicon and do plan to use it in our custom designs. So far we tested it with our preliminary setup and different PCIe components and it looks great. The main show stopper for us now is inability to communicate to multiple PCIe devices behind standard PCIe switch. After few days of investigation it turned out that this particular silicon bug is described in TDA4VM errata i2806 that states silicon behavior upon receive of standard Unsupported Request (UR) message during enumeration cycle. Board just hangs with no logs and traces (as a consequence of immediate abort to CPU after bus error at PCIe RP). i2086 suggests two works around cases, but does not provide any implementation details. I assume these two work around cases were tested internally in TI before making it to errata, so here is my question - can anybody from design/development/verification team point us to implementation sources (Linux) of these two work around solutions? Our PCIe switch from Broadcom can be configure to support ARI.
Please be as specific as possible - for us case is as simple as "can we use this silicon in our design or not". We really would like to, but need to make these PCIe devices and switch working.
Best regards,
Alex
