OMAP3 SPI problem

Hi

I use SPI4 of OMAP3 which mux with mcbsp.  And the I/O direction config of spi4_clk confused me. The spi_clk of OMAP3 should be output. But I must set

spi_clk to bidirectional mode. Otherwise the SPI bus don't work well.  Anyone knows the reason?

The code is as following:

 OMAP3_MUX(MCBSP1_CLKR, OMAP_MUX_MODE1|OMAP_PIN_INPUT),
    OMAP3_MUX(MCBSP1_DR, OMAP_MUX_MODE1|OMAP_PIN_INPUT),
    OMAP3_MUX(MCBSP1_DX, OMAP_MUX_MODE1|OMAP_PIN_OUTPUT),
    OMAP3_MUX(MCBSP1_FSX, OMAP_MUX_MODE1|OMAP_PIN_OUTPUT)

The INPUTENABLE bit is described in tech ref as following

• INPUTENABLE (1 bit) drives an input enable signal to the I/O CTRL.
– INPUTENABLE = 0: Input Disable. Pin is configured in output only mode.
– INPUTENABLE = 1: Input Enable. Pin is configured in bidirectional mode.
