DRA821U: early booting to connect Ethernet immediately

Dear Champs,

My customer would like to connect Ethernet(CPSW5G) immediately after booing, and they need to receive Ethernet communication packets.

Is it possible to implement early booting of CPSW5G immediately with u-boot like as AM5728?

Can the Early Boot process described in AM5728 SDKv6.0 be applied to DRA821u SDKv8.x?

Hi,

Theoretically, it is possible to use CPSW5G from u-boot (support not present but will be there in the future : https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1118774/tda4vm-is-there-any-update-plan-about-supporting-the-cpsw9g-in-ti-u-boot). But when the kernel comes up, it might cause issues with the network stack. I will get details for this and let you know.

But if could briefly explain the usecase, it will be helpful to us to understand the requirements.
