Part Number: AM3352
Hello,
customer uses the AM3352BZCZA60 but has delivery issues. What alternative parts can use?
What about the AM3352BZCZA80 or AM3352BZCZA100? Can he use these with same firmware if he runs them only with 600MHz?

Hello Holger
Thank you for the query.
With regards to the hardware, there may not be any requirement to change.
Regarding the software changes, the frequency my need to be configured to the required value.
I am checking on this and will update you.

Hello Holger
As i check internally, please review the attached thread and let me know if this helps.

Hello Holger,
Please refer below input from the expert
On AM335x, U-Boot/Linux can automatically detect the part and configure the CPU clock accordingly, so no software change when switching parts.

Hello Holger,
Please note that the answer is valid for Linux.

Hello Sreenivasa,
just for understanding. Customer want to buy AM3352BZCZA80 or AM3352BZCZA100 but run it with 600MHz. If they run them with 800MHz or 1000MHz the current is higher and this means a HW change. So you say that the U-boot/Linux automatic set the 600MHz on the AM3352BZCZA80 or AM3352BZCZA100 device?
Regards, Holger
Hi Holger,
I am not sure how U-Boot handles the device detection, but AM335x Linux can detect the device OPP capability and adjust accordingly at Linux runtime depending on the cpufreq configurations in Linux. If the customer wants to set the max clock to 600MHz, they can remove the unwanted OPP settings in device tree. I suspect you can do the same in U-Boot device tree to ensure AM335x won't run faster than 600MHz.
