Video encode utilization numbers?

Hello,

I have a customer who is looking to use the DM3730 to do D1 video encode and they are looking for CPU/DSP utilization numbers. They are wondering how much juice they will have left? They will be looking to run in two modes… D1 and SD (640x480) video… Does anyone have numbers for both scenarios?

One more question to attached on your thread, if I use a 3730 to encode 4-D1@30FPS and 4-CIF@30FPS, is it possible, can any one who have made some measurement or evaluation can post some data, thanks!

Cavin,

This use case looks to be not possible with DM3730. Have you looked into DM81xx or OMAP4 for the same requirement?
