Does the processor SDK Linux support MCAN module (CAN and CAN FD)?

There is no mention of MCAN module in the latest processor SDK Linux (08.03.00.19) documentation.

Hi,

Yes, the Linux SDK supports MCAN. The current issue is that AM625 SK EVM does not have a CAN transceiver that would allow an evaluation exercise. The kernel configuration does have MCAN driver enabled.

To use MCAN with PSDK Linux on the SK-AM62, does the kernel need to be rebuilt using a dtsi file which is generated after enabling MCAN in the SysConfig tool?

Are there any other settings that need to be changed?

Our customer will test the SK-AM62 together with the TCAN1042DEVM which is a CAN transceiver evaluation board.

Hi,

The kernel does not need to be re-built to pick up a device tree change. The TI kernel config already has the MCAN drivers enabled.
