Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

There are only 2 CSI interfaces, can it connect the MIPI signals of the 4 cameras?

Data lane is enough whereas clock is not enough, is it possible to have the clock of CSI0 connected to camera #1 #2 and the clock of CSI1 connected to camera #3 #4?

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Hi Cherry Zhou,

CSI as protocol does support multiplexed input, so you are using some CSI Hub like ub960, all 4 channels can be captured on a single CSI port, assuming total CSI BW is within supported limit.

Thanks for your support.

SERDES is tentatively using UB962 or 9702 because the bandwidth has not been determined.

Is the CSI protocol inside TDA 1:4MUX or 1:2MUX?

If 1:4, as shown in the figure below, is it OK to connect a 4 lane csi2 directly?
If 1:2, should mux be replaced with ub964?

Regarding multiplexed inputs, do four data not be transmitted at the same time but need to be transmitted one by one?

Hi Cherry,

Multiplexing is done using virtual channel id, each channel is identified using a unique virtual channel id. CSIRX supports at max 16 virtual channels.
