I rebuilt the linux kernel to include firewire support for a 1394 compatible USB camera, followed by rebuilding and installing the modules including syslink. The EVM still boots, but I'm getting errors in the boot log. In particular, it is complaining that it cannot find syslink.ko, yet it is there, in targetfs/lib/modules/2.6.37/kernel/drivers/dsp/. The relevent errors are bolded.

I notice that char/ti81xx_hdmi/TI81xx_hdmi.ko did not get remade. Perhaps I'm missing a selection in the menuconfig. Also, where in the target is the ordering of driver installation configured? I did not see something like rc.local in /etc/init.d/.
Update:
I found TI81XX_HDMI in menuconfig. It under character devices and was unchecked. I need to fix that. I also am having some issues with make linux as it appears to wipe-out my menuconfig selections, returning to the default.
Update Secundum:
I got TI81XX_hdmi to install, but I'm still missing a bunch of drivers under gpu/pvr/:
bufferclass_ti.ko omaplfb.ko pvrsrvkm.ko
where are the menuconfig selections for these?
