So are you running FreeRTOS on mcu1_0? 

I thin we are using MCU Timer1 for FreeRTOS on mcu1_0 and it is assumed that all timers are running at 19.2MHz clock. Can you please check if this timer is running at this clock speed.

This just tells the timer API that timer is running at 19.2MHz, but does not configure timer clock. Are you using any board API to configure clocks? Can you please check if board API sets up the clock for this timer?

在SDK7.1上，配置文件在bios_6_83_00_18/packages/ti/sysbios/timers/dmtimer/Timer.xs  ，我们可以看到时钟都配置为19.2MHZ。

但是SDK8.2不使用BIOS，  很抱歉我们找不到时钟配置。

On SDK7.1 configuration file in bios_6_83_00_18 / packages/ti/sysbios/timers/dmtimer/Timer.xs, we can see that the clock is configured to 19.2 MHZ.

But SDK8.2 doesn't use BIOS,.    sorry we couldn't find the clock configuration.

This part of the code does not configure timer clock, it just configures timer. 

Timers are enabled in the board module in ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j721e-evm-08_02_00_05\pdk_jacinto_08_02_00_21\packages\ti\board\src\j721e_evm\board_clock.c file, i think, reset freq for all timer module is 19.2MHz. Looks like this part of the code does not enable MCU_TIMER1, Can you please add TISCI_DEV_MCU_TIMER1 in gBoardClkModuleMcuIDInitGroupl array and call Board_init with BOARD_INIT_MODULE_CLOCK parameter?

We changed the code as you suggested, but the timer is the same as before.

I looked at the code for SDK7.1, Timer1 is also not configured in SDK7.1, maybe we're using the default configurationRegards.

In SDK7.1, can you please read the value of the registers 0x40F08100, 0x40F08104, 0x40F08108? These registers select the clock source for MCU_TIMER0, MCU_TIMER1, MCU_TIMER2. 

can you please compare the value against SDK8.2?

Also can you please check and confirm that value of the macro configTIMER_ID in the file ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j721e-evm-08_02_00_05\pdk_jacinto_08_02_00_21\packages\ti\kernel\freertos\config\j721e\r5f\FreeRTOSConfig_mcu1_0.h is set to 0x1? 

According to file ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j721e-evm-08_02_00_05\pdk_jacinto_08_02_00_21\packages\ti\osal\soc\j721e\TimerP_default.c, MCU1_0 should use MCU_TIMER1. 

So if the values of above registers are same, the timer should still be running at 19.2MHz.

Hi Brijesh Jadav ,

1. The values of these three registers are the same in SDK7.1 and SDK8.2, with WKUP_HFOSC0_CLKOUT selected as the clock source

2. The configTIMER_ID value is 0x01

We tried to modify the parameters intfreqlo and period, and we got 1ms timer interrupt after modification, but we don't know how to get it. May I ask what calculation formula is used to get the timer interrupt time for these two parameters?

But the default seems to be correct. TIMERP_TIMER_FREQ_LO is set to 19200000 and TIMERP_TIMER_FREQ_HI is set to 0. Can you just try setting period to 1000, ie 1ms?

But this is same settings for other R5F also, wondering how this is working on other R5F.

Can you try changing intfreqLo to 19800000? or may be try reducing slightly lower frequency?

I changed intfreqLo to 20000000 and period to 1000 to get a 1ms timer interrupt. But I don't understand how 1ms is calculated by intfreqLo and period. Could you please tell me how this is calculated or is there any relevant documentation?

That's surprising to me also. Can we please dump all timer registers and lets review it?

If the same settings, 19.2MHz and 1000 period, is working fine on main domain R5F, no reason for it to not work on mcu domain r5f. So lets check if timer is configured correctly.
