There are two issues with the windows-based Flash Tool and WinCE:

1) Image file size for WinCE can be a size that is not a multiple of 4 bytes.   Flash Tool v1.5.1.0 does not allow

    that.   I am working on eliminating that requirment.

2) NAND OOB (spare area) layout is different in WinCE for 4-bit and 8-bit BCH ECC modes.  Need to specify OOB offset from

    Flash Tool GUI.  I am looking into adding that.

So you are designing a system that will boot from eMMC and has no NAND and no SDCard slot?  Programming

eMMC is on the roadmap for Flash Tool, but is not yet supported.  I will investigate the best way to program eMMC.

Is a Code Composer Studio + In-Circuit-Emulator solution acceptable for programming eMMC?

I have exactly the same problem... We are designing a system that will boot from eMMC and has no NAND and no SDCard slot. We use MMC2 port of the DM3730. Currently we don't know how to flash our eMMC... We tried with Jtag+openocd but nothing happens. In our case we are usong xloader+u-boot.bin+linux system.

Have you some idea? Or maybe that the new version of FlashTool is ready?
