SYSBIOS: Sys/Bios in CCS ver. 12

What device family is being used by the customer?  Note that the workshop referenced is for CC13xx, CC32xx and MSP432E.

According to our customer he is using TMS320C6746 processor. Do we have a guide on how to create a Sys/Bios project in CCS ver. 12?

For microcontrollers and connectivity devices that have TI-RTOS, like those referenced by the training you referenced you can import the "empty" example that comes with part of the SDK using Resource Explorer to create a new project that is configured using TI-RTOS.  For SYS/BIOS the method would be different.  

Note that CCS does not ship with XDCTools so you will need to download and install the version that matches what the SYS/BIOS version requires.

I am going to loop in the team that supports C6746 to assist further.  When creating a thread it is best to select the device as that will get it to the appropriate team faster.

I suspect that the team supporting C6746 is going to ask you to use the Processor SDK RTOS.

I was able to do the following to create a new project using SYS/BIOS

First make sure that SYS/BIOS is discovered by CCS by adding the path to it here and then clicking refresh.  You will likely have to restart CCS

Then go to project -> new CCS project

select C6746 as the device

give the project a name

there should be some SYS/BIOS template listed at the bottom

select minimal or typical

click next

you are going to have to add a package repository location

click the add button and then browse to the location in your SYS/BIOS install

it should look like this

Then you need to select a platform

There will only be one option

Now click finish

The project should build ok
