Failure in TVC3306 operation

Hi, We have used TVC3306 Bidirectional level translator to convert 1.8V MDIO interface signals from DSP TMS320C6474 as used in the EVM to interface with Ethernet PHY device 88E1111. Level translator is not operating as expected. whenever we change the pull-up resistors connected MDIO and MDC (pulled to 2.5V) it is operating immediately. After some minutes, signals stay continously at 2.5V though the inputs are available. Difference between the EVM and our application board is distance between the DSP and Ethernet-PHY is about 7inches and the level-translator is kept midway between the DSP and PHY.  If we switch-off the board and powering on after 10mins, it again starts working and fails after few minutes.  What could be the reason(s) for the failure? Or Do we need to change the level translator for this application (TXB0102)? MDIO interface operates at 1MHz. Thanks.

    Hi , TVC3306 IC was not working. After replacing the IC, level translation is working without any issue. Thanks.

    Can you send a picture of your circuit diagram?  I would like to see how you have the level translator connected.

    It sounds like you've found you problem.  No need for you to send the circuit diagram.
