hi,
I would like to ask whether the final result of reading the hardware self-test state in the LBIST test in SDL is determined by the hardware or whether I can modify it by software

Hi,
LBIST is a H/W diagnostic, that can be S/W initiated and have it's status checked via S/W,.
The build in self test, is documented at 4.4. LBIST : Logic Built-In Self-Test — Software Diagnostics Library (SDL) - J721E User Guide
The H/W results are checked at SDL_LBIST_selfTest.
Not following the request to "modify it by software". Is the intent to run a self test, on the LBIST test?
Thanks,
kb
Hi,
I'm not able to follow what the question is asking. Could you please re-word, re-ask in a different manner, if question is not addressed below.
LIBST is a H/W diagnostic, which can be initiated by S/W (periodic / on-demand)
If question is regarding POST, DMSC LBIST and MCU LBIST would optionally be run on power up in hardware before the ROM code starts. The S/W initiated LBIST would be as described in SDL LBIST documentation.
