hi,

Here is a problem, I designed the schmatic use old version datasheet of omapl138,

in this datasheet the DSP and ARM core frequence is 300MHz. But the latest datasheet ,frenquence is 375/456MHz

what defiereces are there between old version and new version, expecially in Hardware, Power supply,and on chip device interface.

if I use the new version chips, what should I do.

At prensent I use 300MHz chips, but the time is not up to my anticipation, so i want to use the new version chips at 375MHz or 456MHz,

How should we do to comply with above requests.

Hi Ben,

There should not be anything to watch for to use a faster device at a slower frequency in this case. You still have to have a 1.2V supply to operate at 300Mhz on the newer devices (rev B).

Thanks for your answers. But now I want to operate at 375MHz not 300MHz, is the power supply as same as 1.2V operating at 300MHz?

Hi Ben,

Yes, the power supply required for operating at 375Mhz is the same as the one operating at 300Mhz which is 1.2V.
