TDA4VM: No rsyslog support in TDA4 PSDK

Hello TI Team,

I'm using PSDK (ti-processor-sdk-linux-j7-evm-08_01_00_07-Linux) and (ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j721e-evm-08_01_00_13).

I don't see any support for rsyslog in the linux sdk. Are we supporting rsyslog ? If no , Is there any plan in future release ?

Hi,

The rsyslog recipe is available in meta-openembedded.

./meta-openembedded/meta-oe/recipes-extended/rsyslog/rsyslog_8.2002.0.bb

You can integrate this into the final target image and this will involve rebuilding the Yocto filesystem.

Request you to follow the SDK user guide (https://software-dl.ti.com/jacinto7/esd/processor-sdk-linux-jacinto7/08_04_00_11/exports/docs/linux/Overview_Building_the_SDK.html) to rebuild Yocto and add this to the final target image such tisdk-default-image and regenerate the filesystem or install the package using opkg install on your existing filesystem.

I'm not using for yocto build but I will cross compile rsyslog and port to linux filesystem.
