We’ve received an inquiry about resetting Main PLL on C6657 from my customer.
Is it possible to change the SYSCLK1 frequency after PCIe linking after boot ?
They’d like to change the PLL by receiving the frequency setting value info. from the external device via PCIe during their system initialization.
If PCIe retraining is required, it would be acceptable. Is this or any other operation needed ?
In the User Guide (sprugv2i : PLL for KeyStone Device R3v. I), there are the following descriptions.
3.1 Main PLL Initialization Sequence in the page 9.
The initialization of the PLL Controller should be performed as soon as possible at the beginning of the program, before initializing any peripherals.

3.1.3 Reprogramming the Main PLL When Operating in PLL Mode in the page 11
The PLL reprogramming should follow the RBL initialization the in order to minimize system and/or application impact - the device should be in a low power state, where peripherals should be powered off, and no application-level code should be executing.
