running host application of DM6437

Hi all,

I am trying connect DM6437 to the computer in via the network cable. My aim is to run the host application program as it is shown in the starter guide of the board. 

I used a Dlink router and I configured the IP address of the board to be static (IP: 192.168.1.100) I also set static IP for the PC (IP: 192.168.1.200) but I did not work.

I changed the setting of the IP to be dynamic (dhcp) and I made the PC IP automatic but still does not work.

I have realize that nothing change when I load my program on the board (Its running the default program) I have tried to load different examples after successfully compiling

them but I still do not see any effect. 

My first question why how can I connect the board to my computer using network cable?

How can clear the board from previous programs and how I can load new program on it?

    You should be able to connect the PC and target board to the same router.  If you are running NFS be sure you are copying the newly build executables to the filesystem that is visible to NFS mounted on the target board.

    Dear Marcus,

    Sorry for late reply as I was away from this work for quite a long time... but now I am back to it

    Actually, my objective is to capture image, apply some processing on it then display or save the results.

    I am very new to this work and I had great difficulties understanding who this TI system work. 

    Anyway, ......... I about my previous post I am unable to connect to the port till this moment

    I don't have NFS or any network protocol on my system ...... In fact it is only dedicated for the port nothing else is on it.

    I have a Gigabit network switch and I used the cables that came with DM6437 board to connect both the PC and the board to the router, but still can't connect.

    My question is .... Do I need special cable (cross/ straight) to connect ?

    Are there any configurations needed for this application host program because I just followed what is written in the starter guide?
