Hi,

I am currently working on EVM OMAPL137 board & DaVinci-PSP-SDK-03.20.00.12 for Linux software.

I have downloaded the U-Boot & ARM UBL into the spi flash chip of the EVM OMAPL137 & it is working properly.

But finally my project hardware board is going to contain AM1705.

So what changes in the U-Boot & ARM UBL has to be done for AM1705.

Can anyone guide me with above changes?

The above link has Beta Software AM170x.

I am not into Linux. May the diff between OMAP-L138 PSP and the above one might give you some information.

Hi Jitendra,

Modifications to UBL and U-Boot will depend on how AM1705 is different from L137. I would suggest that you try the same UBL and U-Boot on AM1705 as is. If it doesn't work, then while debugging you can find out the differences between these two platforms and start doing the modifications.

Hi Jitendra,

I noticed that AM1705 is operating at 375/456 MHz, where as the default ARM core frequency on OMAP-L137 is 300 MHz. So this change has to be taken care in UBL itself. You have to define the DEVICE_CONFIG_OPP macro in armubl/include/device.h file to a suitable value. Refer to header file for the list of available OPPs.

Hi Jitendra,

You may also want to verify your SDRAM timings and UART settings are compatible with the AM1705. There is also a problem with the SFT where it sets up an incorrect oversampling for the UART.
