I encounter some problems with the EMAC peripheral of the C6424 on Spectrum Digital C6424 EVM.
My first problem is when I set the SW3 switch on the board to MII mode, I see no link (both Ethernet leds (link/act and 10/100) are off), while setting SW3 switch to RMII mode, I see the link immediately (both Ethernet leds are on). What could be the reason for that? and how can I fix it?
My second problem involves the test software that came with the board. I tried to run the emac test software for MII and RMII modes (by running the same software and changing the SW3 switch on the board) and the test failed in both modes (RMII and MII). I used their .gel file for the board and built and ran their test program. I made no changes whatsoever to the code. Did anyone encounter the same problem? Does anyone know what could be the reason for that and how to fix it?
I would really appreciate any help with this issue.
