Hello Champs,

An important customer wants to ramp his fairly new team on using OMAP3530 with Linux. Can you please help on some or all of the below:

Example codes and development of sample apps for

1. Toggle gpio

2. Print on LCD

3. Keyboard processing

4. Interrupt handling

5. Printing a line/text/graphic on LCD

6. GPIO usage detail

These examples are not readily available on the PSP package released to him.

Please help!

Can somebody please respond?

I need to knwo how to print a text string on the graphics LCD of OMAP3530 EVM.

Is there any DVSDK lib for this?

I see a couple of options here. The decode demo that came with the first DVSDKs (3.x line) for OMAP3530 contained a primitive font renderer to display clip information on the OSD. That is one possibility. In later DVSDKs (4.x), the decode demo switched to using the Qt libraries for font rendering. I would suggest looking at Qt first to display text on the LCD.

Can you please point me to the DVSDK 3.x as in the module name or the file in decode app? Was it part of DMAI?

DVSDK 3.01 is available for OMAP35x at:

http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/dvsdk/DVSDK_3_00/latest/index_FDS.html

My advice would be to use this only for an example of rendering text on the LCD, but otherwise it is better to use DVSDK 4.x.

You should be able to find the decode demo inside the DVSDK installation in a directory named like:

dvsdk_demos_3_00_01_13/omap3530/decode

The version number might be slightly different on the directory name. The primitive font-rendering library I mentioned that is used by the decode demo is located at:

dvsdk_demos_3_00_01_13/packages/ti/sdo/simplewidget
