WiFi crash with Android 2.2 and OMAP35

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP3503, WL1271

I'm seeing a system crash every few days with an application running on OMAP3503 using Android 2.2. From the error report, it seems to be related to the WLAN driver. A more detailed explanation can be found in this forum thread http://e2e.ti.com/support/low_power_rf/f/307/p/106850/380853.aspx#380853

Has anyone seen anything like this before, or have suggestions on debugging the issue?

Thanks,
David

  • The WLAN WL1271 driver available in TI Android Froyo DevKit 2.2 is the same as the linux version and does not have any android-specific modifications. Therefore you may see the instabilities or the odd system crash.

If you  wish to debug this, you could start by comparing the wilink driver code in the DevKit with the one supplied with AOSP itself. The android version is at system/wlan/ti
