Hi All,

I start to work on a design using DM3730 for SDR purpose.

Just wonder the following two while reading specs and some reference schematics

(1) For memory, the few designs I read uses POP memory, and in common 512MB.

In order to have 1GB addressing space in total, I assume it connects 512MB x 2 chips, using both CS0 & CS1. Am I right?

Or can I do POP memory with 1GB chip?

(2) For SD card or uSD, the matter like SD/SDHC or its class, is it determined by the DM3730, or the way / sw that I read/write to the SD card?

I shall follow the designs to boot to TF/SD, but wanna use a faster 4GB/8GB class 10.

Alex:

DM3730 SDRC supports only LPDDR1 and NOT DDR or SDR memory.

Correction. DM3730 supports only mobile DDR memory type. Clocking can be SDR or DDR.

Does not support standard SDR or DDR memories.

Thanks for reply and the note.

Just realize abbv in my first post may lead to confusion. I mean the SDR purpose is software defined radio, not single data rate.

Take note that DM3730 supports only mobile DDR memory (LPDDR) type.

So my question (1) becomes, if I'd like to have 1G LPDDR, do I have to put 512MB x 2 chips, using both CS0 & CS1? or I can just put a single 1GB chip?
