MJPEG Encoder on Netra IVAHD

We need support for motion JPEG and it is not in the EzSDK.

Can we modify Video M3 firmware in EZSDK 5_01_01_80 (dm816xbm_m3video.xem3) to integrate MJPEG codecs listed here:

http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/codecs/HDVICP2/index_FDS.html ?

The test application user guide in the codec download from here says it will run on Video M3 via Code Composer + Emulator, but does not mention of how to run it from Linux A8 application.

Can we use Video M3 from Linux other than through OpenMAX ?

User code on the M3 is not supported, sorry.

The M3 supports all the VPSS and display sub-system functionality including supporting fbdev, OpenMAX, V4L2 etc...

Sorry I was not clear. I was wondering about the IVAHD Ducati M3 ( Netra) , where the h264/mpeg2/mpeg4 encoding happens. Not the VPSS M3.

I was able to integrate the JPEG codec and get the Jpeg encoder working on the IVAHD subsystem (M3) through openMax. You can check:
