RTSC Tools/Platform menu missing.

Hello,

CCS5.1,  sysbios 6.31.4.27, TMS570

In my setup there is a menu that my colleges don't have. They also have 5.1 with apparently the same build.

The menu Tools/RTSC Tools/Platform is missing, but Path is there:

I suppose there is a plugin missing for them.

Do you know which plugin missing?

How to update for a specific plugin?

    Simon,

    That menu is contributed by plugin "org.eclipse.rtsc.xdctools.ui". Could you please check which version of this plugin is active in your colleagues' system? You can find it under menu:
       Help / About Code Composer Studio / Installation Details / Plug-ins

    Also can you tell me the "N..." version number of their CCS, also from the Help / About dialog?

    That menu was first added in XDCtools 3.20.01.51 .

    The problem have been solved by re-installing CCS ( N201104171800  ).

    But the previous is also N201104171800.

    I guess the problem was that with the previous installation, we choose xdc 3.16 to be also include along 3.20.8.88.

    Thanks Simon, that makes sense. Glad you were able to work around the problem.

    To close, there's a known issue in CCS 5.0 and 5.1 regarding inconsistent plugin versions when multiple XDCtools versions are installed. This is fixed in CCS 5.1.0.05000 (N201105121800) and later. For earlier versions of CCS 5, the recommended workaround is to uninstall older versions of XDCtools.

    Note if you have the correct version of XDCTools and still don't see the Tools menu, in CCS 5.1, the Tools menu is currently only available in the CCS Debug perspective.
