I'm a newbie here, sorry if I'm not in the right thread.

I'm very interested to sRIO and PCIe general setup.

Please could you give me the TI link to download the pdk_C6678_1_0_0_9_beta2 package, I found the looback SRIO over socket example interesting, but I would like to get more example about message passing type 9 and also the PCIe.

I have aslo some technical questions about SRIO:

The MTU seems to be limited at 256 bytes payload, you have a way to increase this payload length ( without segmentation) either with DIO or Message passing.

The streamId field is 16 bits, why this field is so big, the mapping support only 64 register/queueID, I guess I don't really understand the meaning of StreamId vs FlowId, what is the difference.

The PDK is part of the MCSDK download and can be downloaded from:

R2 is for the C6678.

RapidIO dictates that the max MTU size is 256B, so that is the limit. RapidIO also dictates the streamID field size for the type 9 packets. You will have to read the RapidIO spec to understand the nomenclature and usage of the packet fields and terminology. You can download the type 9 spec from here:

I installed the MCSDK 2.0 and it works, and I will read again the RapidIO spec ch 10.
