Hi,

I am designing an application requiring video streaming over ethernet.

Are there reference designs using gigabit ethernet with OMAP platform?

What useful bandwidth could I expect from an UDP stack running on an OMAP3530?

AFAIK there is no Ethernet controller on OMAP3530. The most popular solution is LAN over USB. But because of USB bandwidth you can get only 100MBit/s.

Hi, thanks for your answer. The OMAP EVM from TI has an onboard LAN9115 ethernet controller (10/100) interfaced directly to the OMAP (through GPMC)

I guess we could do the same with a gigabit controller, but I am concerned about the rate at which the software stack could push data to this controller.
