Dear E2E:

I use Omap-L138.

Omap-l138 has two I2C interfaces I2C0 and I2C1.

Omap-L138 Power Spreadsheet (V.B and V.C) allows enabling I2C1 only.

I2C0 is grayed out and can't be enabled.

How to enable I2C0 in Omap-L138 Power Spreadsheet?

I2C0 clock is always on and does not have PSC control. Therefore, the power spreadsheet has it grayed out.

Hi Christina.

Thank you very much for you answer.

Just one more question.

When I enabled I2C1 in Power Spreadsheet - I did not not notice any 3.3V (I/O VDD) extra power consumption.

But some extra 3.3V power is required to drive I2C clock and data out.

Am I correct?

When I2C1 is Enabled and the rest of the columns are still set to 0, this represents that the I2C module is internally clocked but is not configured. In this scenario, the I2C pins are not toggling, so you will only see an increase in CVDD power.

Once the other columns are programmed to represent I2C activity, you will see the IO33 power increase. As a note, since I2C does not run at high speed frequencies, the expected I/O power consumption will be very minimal.
