Hi Team,
A customer is building PDK components from git repo. However, the link below (https://git.ti.com/git/processor-sdk/pdk.git) appears to be dead.
Was it moved/renamed, or is it no longer available? Can you suggest how the customer can proceed with the build?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Marvin
Hi Marvin,
PDK source code can be downloaded as part of the RTOS SDK for AM57x: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/PROCESSOR-SDK-RTOS-AM57X
Can you advise customer to see if they can use this download option to proceed with the build.
In the meantime, I will flag this as a documentation bug to the team.
Regards,
Takuma
Hi Takuma,
Thank you for the suggestion.
Does this mean that the pdk.git has been removed and building via the git repo is no longer an option?
Regards,
Marvin
Hi Marvin,
The information about the missing repo has been communicated to the PDK team via Jira. I will update the thread with any responses from the team.
However, for now it seems like the public git repository has either been removed or moved. In either case, the SDK should have the content from the internal repository packaged together.

Takuma
HI Takuma.

Hi Takuma,
I'm actually the customer, so hopefully I can provide a bit more information about what I'm trying to achieve. Prior to the pdk repository being pulled down, I was about to build the ICSS_EMAC and dependent libraries for the ARM using the makefile_armv7 makefiles. These files do not exist in the PDK source of the linked RTOS installer. Are the ARM makefiles (and supporting build directories) available in some other download?
Thank you for the help Marvin. If it is easier, you can close the support ticket and I can continue the conversation here.
Regards,
Kevin
Hi Kevin,
Thank you for the context, this information has been passed onto our internal development team. It seems the repository was removed very recently due to some legality related issue found with one of the binaries. We are working hard to get this repository back up publicly by cleaning through some commits, but so far I am not able to share an estimated for when this will be back up.
Apologies for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
Regards,
Takuma
Hi Takuma,
Thanks for the update on the PDK repository, though we do have some follow up questions.

Kevin
Hi Kevin,
Unfortunately, I am not able to share what the legal issue was with the PDK. I am also still not able to get an exact date/estimate from the team for how long it will be done.
However, I have forwarded your question to the development team, and will get back to you as I receive the answers.
Regards,
Takuma
Hi Kevin,
Apologies for the late reply. I just received an estimate for when we can have PDK back on git.ti.com, and we are aiming for 11/9.

Takuma
Hi Kevin,
Just received the good news that the PDK repository is back up on git.ti.com again. Please confirm whether this resolves the issue: https://git.ti.com/cgit/processor-sdk/pdk/.

Takuma
