Hello E2E Experts,

Good day.

Good evening, my questions are as follows:

What is your patching plan or update cycle like for your DRA829 A72 System on Chip (SoC)?
How long will you be planning to continue to support this DRA829 A72 over the next 5-10 years or potentially longer?
Do you have any other military applications making use of commercial processor chipsets that you produce?
How do you build or develop your OpenEmbedded Linux that you install on these processor chips?

Hi CSC,

Here is my initial response:

1. You can take a look at when the past SDK versions were released to get an idea of update cycle of the software: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-J721E . When there is a need for a patch identified between releases, we typically release them through E2E directly to customers until we can have the fix integrated into the SDK.

2. The product life cycle information can be found when clicking the "Active" mark next to the product name: https://www.ti.com/product/DRA829V

4. I would recommend reading our PSDK Linux documentation: https://software-dl.ti.com/jacinto7/esd/processor-sdk-linux-jacinto7/08_04_00_11/exports/docs/linux/Overview_Building_the_SDK.html#

For #3, I will have to refer to other team members, but let me know if the answers to the other questions are sufficient.

For #3, these devices are offered as-is with the specifications listed in the datasheet. A military customer could potentially use this and do required testing on their own.
