AM625: About AM62x processors SDK QNX

Part Number: AM625

Hi experts,

I have downloaded the AM62x processors SDK QNX from My secure and have briefly reviewed the contents, but I have a few questions.

Am I correct in understanding that AM62x processors SDK QNX is one of the upcoming SDKs from TI?

And what form will the support take? Can we discuss this with you on E2E?

Do you have any information on the licensing format and cost?

If you have difficulty answering the part about this topic, or if you can answer offline, please let us know which one.

Best regards,
O.H

  • Hi O.H

    1)  AM62 will support QNX. The restricted release on ti.com has some of the foundational TI components like resource manager for DMASS, IPC, Shared memory etc. The official QNX BSP will come from Blackberry/QNX  and  must be downloaded from QNX Software Center.

    2) Support will need to something that customer will work directly with QNX. Support on E2E will be limited to TI components and best effort basis.

    3) Recommend that your customer talk to Blackberry QNX about this.

    Regards

    Mukul

  • Hi Mukul,

Thank you for your reply. I understood.

    3) Recommend that your customer talk to Blackberry QNX about this.

By the way, regarding Q3, is it license free if we consider only the components provided by TI?

The restricted release on ti.com that I downloaded seemed to have a broken link(the file is missing) regarding licensing.

    Best regards,
    O.H

  • The package we have on mysecuresw  cannot be used without the QNX BSP.  The customers have to get the BSP from QNX. So your customer does need to contact QNX for licensing considerstions.

Thanks for pointing out the broken link, this is now fixed.

  • Hi Mukul,

Thank you for your support. I understood. Also, I was able to confirm the contents of the link.

    Best regards,
