About DM365DVR source code

Hi,

The source code of the web view is not available as part of RDK. By default, it comes as binary in RDK release package.

It is available with UDWorks and they can release it to you or modify it for you. Have you already contacted UDWorks and is there no response from them?

I  have contacted the UDWorks, they didn't provide me the code, and didn't tell me they could modify it for me.

I think the web control code should be provided in RDK release package,  because the web control is a part of the DVR SYSTEM.

Don't you think so?

I have discussed this with UDWorks. Actually, the web server code is a single cab file which has details about their VMS source also. This is why, it is not included in the source package.

Please contact Mr John Kim (john_kim@udworks.com). He would be able to provide the right direction by which either source code could be provided or UDWorks can help you to modify the binaries.

We have got their response before as following, but We think this is baffling. We could have not anything about VMS, but could not have the code of the WEB COTROL. The fact that they developed the VMS using source code like the WEB CONTROL doesn't as the cause the don't provide the WEB CONTROL source code, because the web control is a part of DVR, the costs of the DVR should have contained the cost of the WEB CONTROL source code.

We need not they modify, because our application have a little complex, if we let them modify the binary, the cost will be large more.

I think shouldn't develop the VMS for addtional profit.

The UDWorks' response:

For the VMS code, unfortunately, it's not included the RDK package.

That's why we just provide the sample program to test network streaming.

To get it you have to make additional lincecse agreement with us and it will cost like below.

Initial license : USD 1,200

Running Royalty : USD 1.2 per chip

Then, we will provide the SDK for VMS.

We don't have a  local TI FAE or sales. We bought the DVR directly from UDWorks, because we haven't found their sales in china.
