Hi,
We observe that UMS (USB Mass Storage) does not always enumerate SD disk device and partitions on the host/PC side.
More often it does not work than it works and sometimes helps to temporarily disconnect EVM board from the power supply.
The issue is seen with both Linux and Windows host PC.
Also tested with different:
- EVM boards
- SD cards
- typeC-typeA USB cables
Based on that we suspect some issue either in u-boot or HW.
SW on the EVM board: Linux SDK 8.04
USB cable is connected from the host to EVM [J12] USB3 Type C port.
While testing with Ubuntu host we see a lot of different type of errors from sd and block device drivers in dmesg log.
Sometimes the SD disk was enumerated but partitions not and the disk is dropped after several seconds. Sometime the disk is not enumerated at all.
We can always see many USB reset attempts as below:

The output in u-boot is always as below (both for passing and failing case):
