Spectrum Digital XDS100v2 Supported On AM3517 Experimenter CCSv5.01 Linux SDK?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3517

I am thinking about purchasing a Spectrum Digital XDS100v2 JTAG Emulator for use on AM3517 Experimenter.

I am using CCSv5.01 on Ubuntu 10.04 Linux.

Without anything connected, when I launch New Target Configuration, it only shows TI XDS100v2 in connection field - is this same as Spectrum Digital?

Also, no device support selection for AM3517 Experimenter.

Does anyone have this combo working?

In CCSv5.01 Linux host?

Can you send me config file for AM3517 Experimenter target?

Thanks

  • Hi Meg,

Yes, Spectrum Digital XDS100v2 is named "TI XDS100v2 USB Emulator" in CCS.

I've unsuccessfully try to connect the AM3517 of the Zoom AM3517 EVM to CCS5 and CCS4 through the Spectrum's emulator. I didn’t find any AM35xx in the targets list.

When I use “Cortex_A8_0” as CPU target, I have this error message: Error connecting to the target: The driver is unable to communicate with the DAP. 0x000032C8 (Error -1170) @ 13000 (0x32C8)

If I use “ARM9” as target, the error message is : Warning: Cannot halt the processor  (Error -2062) @ 13500 (0x34BC)

If I find a solution, I will post it.
