DM3730 ES1.2 and DSI

Hi,

 

I have an issue with the DSI PHY on the DM3730 ES 1.2. Our previous HW which has the ES1.0 does not exhibit this issue and the HW are identical otherwise.

We are running DSI in video mode and we are using two data lanes and a clock lane. 

The problem is that there is no data on the 1st data lane, the pins are at 0V. Clock lane and 2nd data lane look good. I have tried all combinations of the logical/physical lane mapping and the situation is always the same. No data on the 1st data lane no matter which physical lane it is configured to.

I have also verified that all the DSI balls function as output GPIOs so they are not tied to ground.

Using the same SW and HW this works correctly with DM3730 ES1.0 but not ES1.2 so I suspect there is an issue with the initialization sequence but so far I have been unable to find it. The errata has nothing on DSI that would touch this.

Any information vis ES1.0 and ES1.2 would be appreciated.

    Juha,have you figured out what was wrong with your DSI setup?

    We're currently trying to bring up DSI LCD on a custom DM3730 (ES1.2) board and facing contention problem on 1st data lane, so we're looking for clues to address this.
