Video support on the DDR2 EVM

Hello,

We have a question about video support.  We are using ezsdk 5_01_00_77 with the older DDR2 EVM board, with out the EIO board.  This means we can not install the multimedia components of the ezsdk.  We want to display a video off a custom LVDS display that we have working off display1.  Given this configuration is there a way we can do this.  We probably support any video format required.

Thanks,

Craig

  • Craig,

The Linux drivers support fully programmable video timing on the VOUT ports, so connecting to any raster LCD is possible. In some cases it may need a LVDS PHY (such as an LVDS83B) but for smaller displays it may simply require level shifters, or possibly no level shifters depending on the specific LCD.

    Regards,
    Marc
