C5509A McBSP as SPI slave and SlaveSelect

Do someone have experience with McBSP as SPI slave? From my observation it requires SlaveSelect to be inactive after each word transfer?

Cannot it be driven with SS tight low during multiword transmission?

I my designs I left SS pin open with a pull-up resistor and it worked.

I don't know, however, about SS low since it was just one master one slave transfer.

Hope someone answers this part of the post.

I have pull'up of course and I use activeLow config with SS driven low during the whole muliword transmission - it works only when host (not C5509A) drive SS high after each word of transmission. Do I make myself clear?
