AM6422: inline ECC ddr test

Hi Team

We will use STREAM to test inline LPDDR4 performance, as Linux SDK 8.4 has already supported inline DDR4 ECC functionality, we want to know the ECC enable steps from application/user aspect, AM64x Linux SDK only show DDR3 ECC step for Keystone2 device, missing the part for DDR4/LPDDR4 on AM64x. Also if you have already tested the throughput on inline AM64x DDR4/LPDDR4 ECC, please share with me, thanks

Please refer to the document attached below for the instruction for DDR ECC test in uboot. The document will be included in the next Processor SDK release.

Hi Bin,

Thanks, the steps are for UBOOT stage, how about enable ECC in Linux kernel and test command? because we will use STREAM to test memory access bandwidth with ECC enable, it is under kernel stage.

Hi Thomas,

Please follow the document to enable DDR ECC by adding "ti,ecc-enable" property to the "memorycontroller" device tree node in U-Boot, then you can test the DDR ECC in Linux too.
