Our customer want to use SD card and eMMC and USB flash drive for AM625.

What is the size of each of the devices supported by Processor SDK Linux?

What is the maximum size supported by the Linux kernel for each of the devices with FAT32? Is it 32 GB?

What is the maximum size supported by the U-Boot for each of the devices with FAT32? Is it 32 GB?

What is the maximum size supported by the Linux kernel for each of the devices with ext4?

What is the maximum size supported by the U-Boot for each of the devices with ext4?

Hi Saisuke-san,

TI Processor SDK Linux doesn't add any additional limit to the FAT32/EXT4 maximum size of whatever implemented in the mainline U-Boot and Linux kernel. So we don't validate these maximum size in the SDK.

Hi Daisuke-san,

Since we don't validate the filesystem volume limit, we just use whatever the eMMC device populated on the EVM, and use the available SD cards or USB devices on the bench, typically from 4GB to 256GB. Since they are partitioned and formatted in Linux, so the FAT32 partition size limit is 2TB, not 32GB.
