AM5728: How to use IVA-HD on AM5728 ?

I am working on a custom board based on TI AM5728.

I have an application which encodes/decodes video frames using openH264 library.

As mentioned in datasheet, there is an IVA-HD subsystem in AM5728 which can do encoding/decoding of video frames.

How can I use that subsystem for my application ?

Hi Rohit,

Now, to answer your question:

IVAHD core can be used via the libdce interface or gstreamer interface from Linux user space.
The libdce will run on A15 and will communicate to the DCE server on the IPU (M4) and then it will abstract the details of dealing with IVAHD. All of these are part of the SDK itself. Refer to the multimedia section for details.
Yes, you can use it for encoding and decoding.
