Hi All,

I have a query regarding the number of channels supported by TSIP in TCI6486 DSP.

This DSP has 3 TSIP ports and each port handles 1024 channels.

=> Does this 1024 channels refers to 1024 8Kbps/16Kbps channels ?

=> What is the "channel' it is referring to ?

TSIP is a complex peripheral. Please refer to the TSIP User's Guide to understand all of the operation and use and terminology of this powerful peripheral.

TSIP Supports 1024 channel per port. There are 8 Tx and 8 Rx Links and each link supports upto 128 8-bit timeslot channel.

So 128 * 8 Links => 1024 channels.

Data rate is 8.192 Mbps for 128 channels. Each channel is 64 Kbps.
