Less throughput from TCP stream in NDK 2.1 version

Hi,

I am using NDK version 2.1 network stack on C6748 DSP. I have opened a TCP socket and streaming the data to a PC client. Even though EMAC is 10/100Mbps, the maximum throughput I am getting is 2.2 Mbps (Mega bits per second). I have tuned the L2 cache and it has just helped very less ( from 1.5 Mbps to 2.2 Mbps). DSP is running at 300Mhz.

I want to stream data upto 10Mbps. Please let me know how can I get this...

Shankar,

How did you measure the performance? Did you use the benchmarking examples provided with NDK2.0?

Also if you have access to a network packet generator/analyzer equipment like Ixia, that would give you the best/max possible numbers you can get without the application overhead. However there will be some impact on performance based on the application you are using.
